1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Neighbourly Plumbing + Roofing (NSW Plumbing Licence No. 492057C) ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing plumbing and roofing services in Sydney, NSW. We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What information we collect

We may collect the following personal information:

  • Contact details you give us — when you submit our enquiry form, call, or email us: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the service you are interested in, and any details you include in your message.
  • Job-related information — details about your property and the work you ask us to quote on or carry out (for example the nature of a plumbing issue and site access information).
  • Technical and usage data — collected automatically when you browse this website via cookies and similar technologies: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site (see section 4).

You can browse this website without identifying yourself; contact information is only collected when you choose to provide it.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and provide quotes;
  • To schedule, perform and follow up on plumbing and roofing work;
  • To send invoices, receipts and warranty documentation;
  • To measure and improve how our website and advertising perform (see section 4);
  • To comply with our legal obligations (for example licensing and tax record-keeping).

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Cookies and advertising (Meta Pixel)

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies to record that you visited our website and which pages you viewed (for example, our thank-you page after sending an enquiry). We use this to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. Meta may associate this data with your Facebook or Instagram account under its own privacy policy.

You can control this kind of tracking at any time:

5. Who we share information with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website:

  • FormSubmit — relays your enquiry form submission to our email inbox;
  • Meta Platforms — advertising measurement as described in section 4;
  • Vercel — hosts this website;
  • CARTO / OpenStreetMap — provides the map tiles on our service-areas page (your browser requests map images directly from their servers).

Some of these providers store data outside Australia (typically in the United States). We only share what is necessary for them to provide their service. We may also disclose personal information where required by law.

6. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Enquiries are delivered to our business email and retained only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law (for example financial records). This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

7. Access, correction and deletion

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve the issue. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date above.
